# Birthday SVG cut files

25 birthday designs, drawn as layered SVG cut files with the colours already separated onto their own layers. The set covers balloons, cakes, candles, party hats and milestone numerals. They are made for party banners, cake toppers, favour bags, milestone shirts, balloon vinyl and the number that goes on a one-year-old's onesie.

Export **SVG** for Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition, **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic and laser software, or **PDF** at true physical size for print layouts.

## What people make with birthday cut files

Party banners, cake toppers, favour bags, milestone shirts, balloon vinyl and the number that goes on a one-year-old's onesie, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond.

## Cutting and weeding

Each colour is a separate cut and a separate weed, so the export gives your machine one file per vinyl sheet rather than a flattened outline you would have to take apart by hand. Set the size in real inches before you cut, scaling afterwards is where designs come out a quarter-inch off, then weed from the outside in, pulling the waste first and the interior counters last.

## Getting birthday designs right

Vinyl is unforgiving about thin strokes: anything under about a sixteenth of an inch at final size lifts with the waste while you weed it, so check the finest line at cut size before you commit a sheet. Milestone numerals are the personalisation point, keep the numeral on its own layer for a one-field change per order. Cake toppers cut in cardstock need a deep-point blade and a strong-grip mat, and they need the design to have a solid base bar connecting the letters, an unconnected script topper falls apart the moment you lift it off the mat.

## Questions

### What size should I cut birthday cut files at?

Cake toppers are 5–6in wide and want cardstock, not vinyl. Onesie numbers are 3–4in. Banner letters read at 6–8in each.

### What is included in the birthday collection?

25 designs covering balloons, cakes, candles, party hats and milestone numerals, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Are the layers already separated?

Yes. Every colour is on its own layer with a distinct fill, which is how Design Space and Silhouette Studio identify a layer on import. You get one cut per sheet of vinyl instead of a single merged outline.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with birthday cut files?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
