# Christmas SVG cut files

25 christmas designs, drawn as layered SVG cut files with the colours already separated onto their own layers. The set covers trees, ornaments, reindeer, snowmen, wreaths and holiday lettering. They are made for ornaments, stockings, gift tags, matching family pyjamas, advent boards and the door signs that go up the day the tree does.

Export **SVG** for Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition, **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic and laser software, or **PDF** at true physical size for print layouts.

## What people make with christmas cut files

Ornaments, stockings, gift tags, matching family pyjamas, advent boards and the door signs that go up the day the tree does, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond.

## Cutting and weeding

Each colour is a separate cut and a separate weed, so the export gives your machine one file per vinyl sheet rather than a flattened outline you would have to take apart by hand. Set the size in real inches before you cut, scaling afterwards is where designs come out a quarter-inch off, then weed from the outside in, pulling the waste first and the interior counters last.

## Getting christmas designs right

Vinyl is unforgiving about thin strokes: anything under about a sixteenth of an inch at final size lifts with the waste while you weed it, so check the finest line at cut size before you commit a sheet. Reindeer antlers are the fragile element, an offset of 0.02in keeps them attached on ornament-sized cuts. Ornaments are the trap: at 3in, a design that looked fine on screen has strokes below the weeding threshold. Check the thinnest line is at least 0.06in at final size before you cut, or you will spend the evening picking vinyl out with a pin.

## When to make these

Searches start in September, run hard through November, and stop dead on 25 December. Build the listings in August. If you sell, that is the window the listings need to be live in, search traffic for a seasonal theme arrives weeks before the date, not on it. Cut one test piece in the vinyl you will actually use, colours weed differently on the mat than they look on screen, and a seasonal batch is the wrong place to discover that.

## Questions

### What size should I cut christmas cut files at?

Ornaments land at 3–4in. Stocking name plates want 5–6in of width. A door hanger reads at 12–16in. Gift tags are 2–2.5in and are where thin strokes disappear.

### What is included in the christmas collection?

25 designs covering trees, ornaments, reindeer, snowmen, wreaths and holiday lettering, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Are the layers already separated?

Yes. Every colour is on its own layer with a distinct fill, which is how Design Space and Silhouette Studio identify a layer on import. You get one cut per sheet of vinyl instead of a single merged outline.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with christmas cut files?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
