# Dog SVG cut files

50 dog designs, drawn as layered SVG cut files with the colours already separated onto their own layers. The set covers breed silhouettes, paw prints, bones, leashes and "dog mom" lettering. They are made for pet-parent shirts, food-bowl vinyl, memorial signs, kids' room decor, tote bags and the car decal that names the breed.

Export **SVG** for Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition, **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic and laser software, or **PDF** at true physical size for print layouts.

## What people make with dog cut files

Pet-parent shirts, food-bowl vinyl, memorial signs, kids' room decor, tote bags and the car decal that names the breed, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond.

## Cutting and weeding

Each colour is a separate cut and a separate weed, so the export gives your machine one file per vinyl sheet rather than a flattened outline you would have to take apart by hand. Set the size in real inches before you cut, scaling afterwards is where designs come out a quarter-inch off, then weed from the outside in, pulling the waste first and the interior counters last.

## Getting dog designs right

Vinyl is unforgiving about thin strokes: anything under about a sixteenth of an inch at final size lifts with the waste while you weed it, so check the finest line at cut size before you commit a sheet. Paw pads are separate small shapes, group them to the paw before resizing or they drift out of position. Fur, whiskers and legs are the thin features that break. Before cutting at a small size, add a small contour offset to thicken the whole silhouette by a hair, it keeps the fine detail attached instead of weeding away with the waste.

## Questions

### What size should I cut dog cut files at?

Car decals want 5–8in and permanent outdoor vinyl. Food bowls take 2–3in. Shirt fronts at 10in.

### What is included in the dog collection?

50 designs covering breed silhouettes, paw prints, bones, leashes and "dog mom" lettering, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Are the layers already separated?

Yes. Every colour is on its own layer with a distinct fill, which is how Design Space and Silhouette Studio identify a layer on import. You get one cut per sheet of vinyl instead of a single merged outline.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with dog cut files?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
