# Family SVG cut files

25 family designs, drawn as layered SVG cut files with the colours already separated onto their own layers. The set covers family-member lettering, matching-set motifs and reunion badges. They are made for matching family shirts, nursery decor, milestone boards, birth announcements, reunion tees and photo-wall lettering.

Export **SVG** for Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition, **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic and laser software, or **PDF** at true physical size for print layouts.

## What people make with family cut files

Matching family shirts, nursery decor, milestone boards, birth announcements, reunion tees and photo-wall lettering, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond.

## Cutting and weeding

Each colour is a separate cut and a separate weed, so the export gives your machine one file per vinyl sheet rather than a flattened outline you would have to take apart by hand. Set the size in real inches before you cut, scaling afterwards is where designs come out a quarter-inch off, then weed from the outside in, pulling the waste first and the interior counters last.

## Getting family designs right

Vinyl is unforgiving about thin strokes: anything under about a sixteenth of an inch at final size lifts with the waste while you weed it, so check the finest line at cut size before you commit a sheet. A family set is one design at three sizes. Set adult, youth and toddler sizes once, then cut them nested on one mat. A family set is one design at several sizes plus a changing name, which is exactly what a variable-data merge is for. Set the sizes once, feed the names in, and cut the whole set in a single run.

## Questions

### What size should I cut family cut files at?

Adult fronts 10–11in, youth 7–8in, toddler 5–6in, the same design cut at three sizes is what a family set actually is. Nursery wall lettering runs 18–24in.

### What is included in the family collection?

25 designs covering family-member lettering, matching-set motifs and reunion badges, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Are the layers already separated?

Yes. Every colour is on its own layer with a distinct fill, which is how Design Space and Silhouette Studio identify a layer on import. You get one cut per sheet of vinyl instead of a single merged outline.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with family cut files?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
