# Weed SVG cut files

50 weed designs, drawn as layered SVG cut files with the colours already separated onto their own layers. The set covers leaf motifs, relaxed-lifestyle lettering and 420 designs. They are made for team shirts, gym bags, water bottles, car decals, equipment labels and the sign that goes over a home gym door.

Export **SVG** for Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Designer Edition, **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic and laser software, or **PDF** at true physical size for print layouts.

## What people make with weed cut files

Team shirts, gym bags, water bottles, car decals, equipment labels and the sign that goes over a home gym door, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond.

## Cutting and weeding

Each colour is a separate cut and a separate weed, so the export gives your machine one file per vinyl sheet rather than a flattened outline you would have to take apart by hand. Set the size in real inches before you cut, scaling afterwards is where designs come out a quarter-inch off, then weed from the outside in, pulling the waste first and the interior counters last.

## Getting weed designs right

Vinyl is unforgiving about thin strokes: anything under about a sixteenth of an inch at final size lifts with the waste while you weed it, so check the finest line at cut size before you commit a sheet. Leaf points are sharp and thin, cut above 4in or the tips round off and it stops reading as a leaf. Curved surfaces, bottles, bats, helmets, need a design that is narrow enough not to wrinkle. Anything wider than about 3in on a standard bottle will crease at the edges no matter how carefully it is applied.

## When to make these

Follows season schedules: spring for baseball, autumn for football, January for gym. If you sell, that is the window the listings need to be live in, search traffic for a seasonal theme arrives weeks before the date, not on it. Cut one test piece in the vinyl you will actually use, colours weed differently on the mat than they look on screen, and a seasonal batch is the wrong place to discover that.

## Questions

### What size should I cut weed cut files at?

Bottle vinyl is 2–3in and curves, so keep designs narrow. Gym bag panels take 8–10in. Bleacher shirts 10–11in.

### What is included in the weed collection?

50 designs covering leaf motifs, relaxed-lifestyle lettering and 420 designs, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Are the layers already separated?

Yes. Every colour is on its own layer with a distinct fill, which is how Design Space and Silhouette Studio identify a layer on import. You get one cut per sheet of vinyl instead of a single merged outline.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with weed cut files?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, cotton or blend shirts, tote bags, hard-surface decals, glassware and painted signs, anywhere adhesive vinyl or HTV will bond included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
