# Heart monogram SVGs

50 heart designs, drawn as split-letter and framed monogram files built for a name or an initial to drop into. The set covers solid hearts, outlines, doodle hearts and heart frames. They are made for card fronts, mugs, tote bags, kids' classroom valentines and the vinyl for a box of chocolates that needs a name on it.

Export **SVG** once the name is welded to the frame, or **DXF** for Silhouette Studio Basic. Weld before exporting or the frame and the letter arrive as two overlapping cuts.

## What people make with heart monograms

Card fronts, mugs, tote bags, kids' classroom valentines and the vinyl for a box of chocolates that needs a name on it, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on tumblers, tote bags, car windows, front doors, hoodies and anything that gets a name on it.

## Setting the name

A split monogram is a frame with a gap for text, so the type has to sit on the same baseline as the split or the whole thing looks tilted. Drop the text in, align to the split, then weld the letter and frame into a single outline, otherwise the blade cuts them as two overlapping shapes and the join gets sliced through.

## Getting heart designs right

A monogram stands or falls on the join: the letter and the frame have to weld into one closed outline before the blade sees them, or the split gets cut straight through. Hearts are the most forgiving shape here, they scale from a 1in sticker to a 20in wall piece with no adjustment. Script is everywhere in this theme, and script is exactly what falls apart unwelded, the blade cuts through every join and hands you loose letters. Weld the whole phrase into one outline before export.

## When to make these

A short, sharp window: mid-January to 12 February. If you sell, that is the window the listings need to be live in, search traffic for a seasonal theme arrives weeks before the date, not on it. Personalised pieces sell earlier than anything else seasonal, because the buyer is waiting on a name rather than on a date, list them well before the rush.

## Questions

### What size should I cut heart monograms at?

Mug wraps give you 3.5in of height and about 8.5in of usable width. Classroom valentines are 2–3in and get made in batches of thirty.

### What is included in the heart collection?

50 designs covering solid hearts, outlines, doodle hearts and heart frames, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Can I put my own name or initial in these?

Yes, that is what the split is for. Add a text layer, choose a font, align it to the gap in the frame and weld before exporting. For a batch of different names, use bulk personalisation and merge a list rather than editing the text field once per name.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export SVG from CricutCraft Studio, then use Upload in Design Space to add the file to the canvas. Check the finished size and the operation assigned to each layer before preparing the cutting mat.

### Can I sell what I make with heart monograms?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, tumblers, tote bags, car windows, front doors, hoodies and anything that gets a name on it included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
