# Birthday sublimation designs

50 birthday designs, drawn as full-colour sublimation art, printed rather than cut. The set covers balloons, cakes, candles, party hats and milestone numerals. They are made for party banners, cake toppers, favour bags, milestone shirts, balloon vinyl and the number that goes on a one-year-old's onesie.

Export **PNG** at final physical size and at least 300 DPI, then print onto sublimation paper. There is no cut line and no weeding, the design is pressed into polyester, not cut from vinyl.

## What people make with birthday sublimations

Party banners, cake toppers, favour bags, milestone shirts, balloon vinyl and the number that goes on a one-year-old's onesie, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on polyester shirts, poly-coated tumblers, mousepads, ceramic mugs and sublimation blanks, polyester or a poly coating only, never untreated cotton.

## Printing and pressing

Export the finished artwork as PNG at the size needed for your blank. Print using compatible sublimation ink and transfer paper, then follow the blank and transfer manufacturer’s instructions for temperature, time, pressure and mirroring. A mug, tumbler and shirt can require different equipment and settings; test your exact combination before a batch.

## Getting birthday designs right

Sublimation ink bonds only to polyester and polymer coating, so the blank decides the result more than the artwork does, the same file is vivid on a coated mug and washed out on cotton. Milestone numerals are the personalisation point, keep the numeral on its own layer for a one-field change per order. Cake toppers cut in cardstock need a deep-point blade and a strong-grip mat, and they need the design to have a solid base bar connecting the letters, an unconnected script topper falls apart the moment you lift it off the mat.

## Questions

### What size should I print birthday sublimations at?

Cake toppers are 5–6in wide and want cardstock, not vinyl. Onesie numbers are 3–4in. Banner letters read at 6–8in each.

### What is included in the birthday collection?

50 designs covering balloons, cakes, candles, party hats and milestone numerals, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Do I cut these, or print them?

Print them. Sublimation designs are pressed into polyester or a poly-coated blank, not cut and weeded, there is no cut line and no weeding. Export PNG at full size and print onto sublimation paper.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export your finished artwork as PNG, then upload it into Design Space for a printed project. For Print Then Cut, select a compatible machine and prepare the final sheet, offset and sensor marks there. Sublimation printing follows your printer and blank instructions instead.

### Can I sell what I make with birthday sublimations?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, polyester shirts, poly-coated tumblers, mousepads, ceramic mugs and sublimation blanks, polyester or a poly coating only, never untreated cotton included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
