# Christmas sublimation designs

25 christmas designs, drawn as full-colour sublimation art, printed rather than cut. The set covers trees, ornaments, reindeer, snowmen, wreaths and holiday lettering. They are made for ornaments, stockings, gift tags, matching family pyjamas, advent boards and the door signs that go up the day the tree does.

Export **PNG** at final physical size and at least 300 DPI, then print onto sublimation paper. There is no cut line and no weeding, the design is pressed into polyester, not cut from vinyl.

## What people make with christmas sublimations

Ornaments, stockings, gift tags, matching family pyjamas, advent boards and the door signs that go up the day the tree does, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on polyester shirts, poly-coated tumblers, mousepads, ceramic mugs and sublimation blanks, polyester or a poly coating only, never untreated cotton.

## Printing and pressing

Export the finished artwork as PNG at the size needed for your blank. Print using compatible sublimation ink and transfer paper, then follow the blank and transfer manufacturer’s instructions for temperature, time, pressure and mirroring. A mug, tumbler and shirt can require different equipment and settings; test your exact combination before a batch.

## Getting christmas designs right

Sublimation ink bonds only to polyester and polymer coating, so the blank decides the result more than the artwork does, the same file is vivid on a coated mug and washed out on cotton. Reindeer antlers are the fragile element, an offset of 0.02in keeps them attached on ornament-sized cuts. Ornaments are the trap: at 3in, a design that looked fine on screen has strokes below the weeding threshold. Check the thinnest line is at least 0.06in at final size before you cut, or you will spend the evening picking vinyl out with a pin.

## When to make these

Searches start in September, run hard through November, and stop dead on 25 December. Build the listings in August. If you sell, that is the window the listings need to be live in, search traffic for a seasonal theme arrives weeks before the date, not on it. Press a sample on the exact blank first. The same design reads noticeably darker on a coated mug than on a poly tee, and a seasonal run is the wrong time to find the gap.

## Questions

### What size should I print christmas sublimations at?

Ornaments land at 3–4in. Stocking name plates want 5–6in of width. A door hanger reads at 12–16in. Gift tags are 2–2.5in and are where thin strokes disappear.

### What is included in the christmas collection?

25 designs covering trees, ornaments, reindeer, snowmen, wreaths and holiday lettering, supplied as SVG artwork to open in CricutCraft Studio. Customize a design, set the finished size and choose an export format for your project. Check the preview and free or premium access before opening a file.

### Do I cut these, or print them?

Print them. Sublimation designs are pressed into polyester or a poly-coated blank, not cut and weeded, there is no cut line and no weeding. Export PNG at full size and print onto sublimation paper.

### Will these open in Cricut Design Space?

Export your finished artwork as PNG, then upload it into Design Space for a printed project. For Print Then Cut, select a compatible machine and prepare the final sheet, offset and sensor marks there. Sublimation printing follows your printer and blank instructions instead.

### Can I sell what I make with christmas sublimations?

Yes on the paid plan, which includes a commercial licence for the physical products you make and sell, polyester shirts, poly-coated tumblers, mousepads, ceramic mugs and sublimation blanks, polyester or a poly coating only, never untreated cotton included. Reselling or redistributing the design files themselves is not permitted on any plan.
