# Fishing sublimation designs

50 fishing designs, drawn as full-colour sublimation art, printed rather than cut. The set covers fish, rods, lures, hooks and fishing-humour lettering. They are made for beach totes, tumblers, pool towels, cooler decals, tank tops and the sign that goes on a camper door.

Export **PNG** at final physical size and at least 300 DPI, then print onto sublimation paper. There is no cut line and no weeding, the design is pressed into polyester, not cut from vinyl.

## What people make with fishing sublimations

Beach totes, tumblers, pool towels, cooler decals, tank tops and the sign that goes on a camper door, those are the pieces this collection gets used for. In this format they go on polyester shirts, poly-coated tumblers, mousepads, ceramic mugs and sublimation blanks, polyester or a poly coating only, never untreated cotton.

## Printing and pressing

Export the finished artwork as PNG at the size needed for your blank. Print using compatible sublimation ink and transfer paper, then follow the blank and transfer manufacturer’s instructions for temperature, time, pressure and mirroring. A mug, tumbler and shirt can require different equipment and settings; test your exact combination before a batch.

## Getting fishing designs right

Sublimation ink bonds only to polyester and polymer coating, so the blank decides the result more than the artwork does, the same file is vivid on a coated mug and washed out on cotton. Hooks and lines are thin. Cut above 5in or drop the line and keep the lure. Sun and chlorine are what kill these. Use permanent outdoor vinyl on hard surfaces and press HTV a full 15 seconds, an under-pressed beach towel design lifts at the first wash after a pool day.

## When to make these

May through August, with the strongest run before school holidays start. If you sell, that is the window the listings need to be live in, search traffic for a seasonal theme arrives weeks before the date, not on it. Press a sample on the exact blank first. The same design reads noticeably darker on a coated mug than on a poly tee, and a seasonal run is the wrong time to find the gap.
