# Cricut StickerPix Print or Print + Cut?

Updated 2026-10-21 · 4 min read · Stickers

Cricut StickerPix is a sticker and photo printer family. StickerPix Print uses pre-cut sticker sheets; StickerPix Print + Cut also cuts custom stickers. If you searched for “Cricut sticker pix,” check the full model name before choosing materials: the two versions use different supplies.

## Which sticker workflow do you need?

StickerPix Print suits projects built around ready-cut label shapes and photo prints. Print + Cut is the option to investigate when your sticker needs a custom outline. Decide whether you want a repeated label shape, a sheet of individual illustrations or a photo before choosing a machine.

A Cricut Maker or Explore is a cutting machine rather than an ink printer. Its Print Then Cut workflow uses a separate compatible printer first. That is a different setup from a StickerPix printer and cutter, even though both can finish a sheet of stickers.

## Check the complete name on every refill

Cricut says StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut papers are not interchangeable. The Print + Cut model uses its own sticker sheets, photo paper and ink cartridges. Match the packaging to the machine rather than buying a refill simply because it says StickerPix.

For a repeat label job, calculate the cost per usable sheet, including ink and a test print. Check local refill availability before committing to a large run. An existing inkjet and compatible cutting machine may already meet your needs.

## Set up in Cricut Design Space

Use Cricut’s setup flow and choose StickerPix Print + Cut if that is your model. The official instructions require a compatible Bluetooth device and internet connection. Complete activation and any firmware update before loading the material requested by Design Space.

Prepare one small project first. Check the preview, text size and intended sticker boundary before making multiple copies. Keep the original artwork so you can revise the layout without starting again.

## Where CricutCraft fits

CricutCraft can help you prepare artwork and export files. It does not connect to or control StickerPix. Check the import options in the Design Space workflow for your selected model; do not assume a cutting-machine SVG workflow transfers unchanged to a sticker printer.

This comparison is based on the manufacturer documentation linked below. It is not a hands-on StickerPix review or a promise that every CricutCraft export has been tested with the device.

## Questions

### Is a Cricut printer the same as a Cricut cutting machine?

No. StickerPix is a printer family. Maker and Explore machines cut materials; their Print Then Cut projects use a separate printer.

### Can I use ordinary Cricut sticker paper in StickerPix Print + Cut?

Use supplies specifically labelled for StickerPix Print + Cut. Cricut specifies dedicated paper and ink, and says the Print and Print + Cut supplies are not interchangeable.

### Does CricutCraft send a sticker design directly to StickerPix?

No. Use Cricut Design Space for the machine connection and production workflow. Check its current upload options before choosing an export format.
