Online cutting machine design studio

Free online SVG editor

Customize SVG cut files in your browser: add text, arrange shapes, change colors and organize layers. Export your design before moving it into the cutting software for your Cricut, Silhouette or other compatible machine.

The editor is available to guests. Some designs and export options require a paid plan; check the plan details before starting a commercial project.

Which file format should you export?

SVG for cutting; PNG for printing

SVG keeps vector artwork and operation groups for an SVG-capable cutting workflow. PNG produces a raster image with a transparent background option, useful for printable stickers and sublimation graphics. Check the output size and resolution before printing. Both export options are included in the free plan.

PDF and DXF for other workflows

Paid plans also include PDF and DXF export. Choose the format your destination software accepts and inspect the imported design before making a test cut. A file export does not connect CricutCraft directly to your machine. See plan details and licensing before using library artwork on products you sell.

For print then cut stickers, import your artwork into Design Space and use its Print Then Cut workflow to generate the final printed sheet and sensor marks. An independently printed studio PDF does not replace that step. Follow the print then cut tutorial for the full process.

From SVG idea to finished cut file

  1. 1

Choose a canvas or a design

Start with a blank canvas, or explore the design library for cut files, monograms, stickers and shapes. Free designs are available without a paid plan.

  2. 2

    Adjust the artwork

Add text and shapes, change colors and position the artwork. Size the design for your blank, inspect its layers and mirror once when your iron-on material requires it.

  3. 3

    Export, then cut

Export SVG for a vector cutting workflow or PNG for printable artwork. For Cricut machines, import the file into Cricut Design Space to prepare and send the job to the machine; CricutCraft itself does not directly control the cutter.

Tools for practical cutting projects

Prepare cutting artwork

Arrange shapes and plan the size of a vinyl decal, paper cutout or shirt graphic before you move to the machine-specific cutting application.

Organize design layers

Keep parts of a project organized by layer or operation, then inspect the result before saving a file for the next step in your workflow.

Export for your machine

Select a supported export format for your cutter or printer. Check the requirements of Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio before importing.
